Setting up the Yo!Zone

There is no need to install any applications on your computer in order to be able to use the Yo! Zone. Everything takes place in your browser. Even if you had to reboot your computer or had accidentally left the Yo! Zone, you can still rejoin as the button for accessing the Yo! Zone can be found on the session details page at all times. The system works normally on mobile devices. However, as a tutor, you must always use a computer.


We would strongly advise you to do a test call before you start tutoring, if you haven't already done so. You should also do this in case you're experiencing technical issues.


The system requires you to grant access to your microphone and camera before use. The first time you go to a video-enabled session page or the test caller you will be prompted to set it up. Please allow both microphone and camera access when prompted to do so. If either your microphone or video are muted, it will show a slash over the corresponding icon.


Please remember you are required to share video in sessions unless explicitly asked not to do so by the yoser. So if you skipped giving permission to your camera, please enable it by clicking on the camera icon as shown below:

However, if you denied giving access to your camera when you were first asked, you will have to follow the steps below:

  1. Click the camera icon on the right side of the address bar.
  2. In the pop-up dialog, select the first option and click "Done" to close it.
  3. If you are still having problems, please contact us for assistance.
