Yosers' behavior

Both yosers and tutors are meant to behave respectfully during sessions. If the yoser behaves inappropriately or makes inappropriate requests, the tutor should feel free to reach out to our Tutor Support team and we will do all that’s in our power to prevent this from happening again. Inappropriate behavior includes, but is not limited to:

• Being nude or wearing underwear

• Being disrespectful and hostile

• Abusive behavior towards animals, other people, or themselves

• Sexual harassment (rude messages, photos, engaging in sexual activities during the session)

• Verbal harassment – being pushy, asking too many personal questions that make you feel embarrassed, making racist comments, bullying, slurring, etc.

For most of these types of behavior, it’s possible to verify what happened since we record both the audio and video of our sessions. If something like this happens to you, please contact the Support team as soon as the session is done, and we will do our best to investigate the matter.

Yo! Inglês allows tutors to make their best judgment and end the session via “End Lesson” button in case of a very severe offense. However, our team will assess the situation and review the recording, upon which we will verify whether leaving the session was a reasonable thing to do. In case we come to the conclusion that this course of action was unjustified, this session will be considered canceled (see the Cancellation section).

Complaints about yosers are being treated on a case-by-case basis and depending on the severity of the situation, the yoser might be banned (in this case, they can never book the tutor again) or suspended. In case there are repetitive complaints towards a single yoser, their account will be closed.
