As mentioned in the section about tutors’ contracts, the company reserves the right to terminate the contract with a tutor in some situations. However, in most of these situations, we will issue warnings before the actual termination happens.


Complaints

Even though we hope you won’t have any complaints at all, the truth is that no one is perfect, and you probably won’t always have a stellar performance or behavior. This is something that we understand. However, we need to set clear expectations for tutors:

  1. In case of a complaint regarding the tutor's performance and/or behavior, besides checking the session recording, the Tutor Support team will contact them to learn their side of the story. Depending on the applicability and reasonability of the situation, a warning may be issued. For the first time it happens, it will be considered the First Warning

  2. The second time will be considered the Second Warning

  3. If there is a third complaint that causes a warning, it will be the Final Warning, and we will be forced to block the tutor’s schedule for 2 weeks

  4. If we receive the fourth complaint that results in a warning, we will be forced to terminate the tutor’s contract and account. If this happens, the tutor can never again apply and work at Yo! Inglês.


We take complaints seriously, but we are also very cautious about what we accept as a legit complaint. This is why our team carefully goes through recordings and analyzes yosers’ claims thoroughly before addressing the issues directly with tutors.

Please note that if more than 6 months have passed since your last warning, it will be annulled.


Other issues (frequent cancellations, false proof in ‘no penalty’ disputes, etc.)

For all other instances where a warning is mentioned, besides yoser complaints, our team will handle these other types of warnings on a case-by-case basis, depending on the severity of the situation and the overall tutor’s performance.
