Tutor Availability Program
[OPTIONAL BEST PRACTICE & GUIDELINE]
Thiago Souza
Last Update 10 órája
It applies to both:
- new tutors, during their first 30 days from account activation
- regular tutors, during Yo!’s regular pay cycle periods
By maintaining availability and reliability during your eligible period, you help yosers find better booking options and support Yo!’s growth over time.
Participation is voluntary. By opening your schedule according to the criteria below, you are automatically opted into the program for your applicable eligible period
For a slot to count toward this program, it must be opened within the eligible time window: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM Brasília time (BRT), with the last eligible slot starting at 9:30 PM BRT.
This rule applies regardless of the tutor’s local time zone shown in the dashboard.
- 120 eligible slots
- across at least 15 different days
- during your eligible period
2. How the top-up works
If your total paid slots during the eligible period are below 120, Yo! may top up your earnings based on the percentage of the program criteria you completed, up to the equivalent of 120 paid slots.
The program has 2 criteria, each worth 50% of the total possible top-up amount:
- Availability = 50%
- Cancellations = 50%
- both criteria, you receive 100% of the possible top-up
- only one criterion, you receive 50% of the possible top-up
- neither criterion, you receive 0%
- Yoser no-shows count as paid slots, just like conducted slots.
- If you open more than 120 eligible slots, the program remains capped at the equivalent of 120 paid slots.
- If you have more than 120 paid slots in the eligible period, you will be paid for the exact number of those slots, with no additional top-up.
- Top-up slots do not count toward volume incentives.
- A 25-minute session = 1 slot.
- A 50-minute session = 2 slots.
💡 Extra bonus: Tutors who achieve 100% in the Tutor Availability Program may also qualify for an additional US$50 through the Availability Extra Bonus.

3. Program criteria
To meet the availability criterion, you must keep your 8-day booking window valid throughout the eligible period.
At the time of each system check, your 8-day window must have all of the following at the same time:
- at least 30 eligible slots
- across at least 5 different days
- with at least 6 eligible slots per day
If your 8-day window is below any of these minimums during either check, that day counts as a failed day.
To keep this criterion, you must finish the eligible period with no more than 10 failed days.
If you reach 11 or more failed days, you lose this criterion.
B. Cancellation criterion (50%)
- have zero Unreported cancellations (tutor no-shows)
- stay within the Reported cancellation limits below during the eligible period
This rule exists because tutor no-shows are especially harmful to the service, to the yoser experience, and to overall trust in the platform.
- Up to 30 bookings: Maximum 1 Reported cancellation.
- Up to 60 bookings: Maximum 2 Reported cancellations.
- Up to 90 bookings: Maximum 3 Reported cancellations.
- Above 90 bookings: Reported cancellation rate must not exceed 3%.
If you exceed the applicable reported cancellation limit or have any unreported cancellation during the eligible period, you lose this criterion.
4. Eligible periods
A. New tutors
The defined weeks are:
- Week 1: Days 1–7 from activation
- Week 2: Days 8–14
- Week 3: Days 15–21
- Week 4: Days 22–28
- Flex Period: Days 29–30
B. Regular tutors
Each cycle runs from the 5th of one month to the 4th of the following month.
A defined week within the cycle is a full 7-day period. For example:
- Cycle Period: March 5 to April 4
- Week 1: March 5–11
- Week 2: March 12–18
- Week 3: March 19–25
- Week 4: March 26–April 1
- Flex Period: April 2–4
From the first day of your eligible period, all program criteria already apply and are already being counted.
5. Recommended best practice
We strongly recommend that you:
- open slots consistently, not only from time to time
- keep your future window above the minimum, not exactly at the minimum
- replace the slots from each new day that enters your 8-day window
- avoid unnecessary closures and cancellations
Working with a small buffer is usually the safest approach.
6. Recommended peak times (BRT)
In general, tutors are encouraged to prioritize availability during higher-demand periods in Brazil, especially around:
- 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM BRT
- 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM BRT
- 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM BRT
Eligible hours define which slots count toward the program. Peak times are only a recommendation to help tutors focus on hours with stronger booking potential.
