Manually Canceling Sessions: A Step-by-Step Guide

Sometimes, plans change, and you might need to cancel a session. Sessions can only be canceled manually by you, the tutor, or, in some cases, by our Support team, before the session officially begins. Once a session starts, the cancellation buttons on your dashboard will no longer be available. From the moment the session begins, cancellations will happen automatically according to the scenarios described in our Session Issues: Understanding the Basics policy.
➡️Using the Dashboard:
The easiest way to cancel is through your dashboard. You can:
Click the "Edit Schedule" button, tick the session(s) box(es), and click "Cancel";
Click the "Cancel The Session" button on the “There's A Session Coming Up!” card in the sidebar;
Click the session status on the schedule, the “There's A Session Coming Up!” card, or on the session history on the “My Journey” tab to open the session page and cancel it via the session card (similar to the one in the sidebar).
In all cases, a dialog box will ask you to provide a reason and confirm.
➡️Contacting Support:
If you cannot access the system (e.g., power outage), you can email Tutor Support to have the session tagged as Reported. We cannot guarantee immediate availability to do that, so please notify us as early as possible.
