Payments & Invoicing: How You Get Paid

[PLATFORM GUIDE]

As an independent contractor on the Yo! platform, you're in charge of invoicing for the services you provide. Here’s a clear guide on how our payment process works.

The Pay Cycle

  • How it works: We process payments once a month. A pay cycle runs from the 5th of each month to the 4th of the following month.

  • When you get paid: Your payment for that cycle will be sent by the 15th of that following month at the latest. For example, payment for your slots conducted from May 5th to June 4th will be sent out by June 15th.

  • Heads-up on Slots vs. Sessions: Keep in mind that you are compensated on a slot-by-slot basis. The number of sessions you conduct may differ from the number of slots, as 50-minute sessions are equivalent to two slots.

The Invoicing Process: Your Role

  1. Check Your Statement: After a pay cycle ends (from midnight on the 6th of the month, your local time), a full payment breakdown will appear on your dashboard's "Income" tab. It will show all your conducted slots plus any applicable incentives.

  2. Generate Your Invoice: Your next step is to review this statement and click to generate your invoice. This is your formal request for payment for services rendered and is a key step in our B2B relationship.

  3. Meet the Deadline: To ensure your payment is processed on time, please generate your invoice within 3 full days of the statement becoming available (that's until 11:59 PM on the 8th of the month, your local time). If you miss this deadline, we can't guarantee a payment by the 15th, and it will likely be processed with the next pay cycle's payment.

Your Payment Provider: Payoneer

  • We process all payments exclusively through our partner, Payoneer. For now, we do not support other payment methods. If you're a new tutor, please set up your Payoneer account and provide us with your details as soon as possible so we can get your first payment to you on time.

  • Good to know: You do not have to order a physical Payoneer card to use the account. You can transfer your earnings directly from your Payoneer account to your local bank account (please be aware that exchange rates and transfer fees may apply). For more details on how this works, it's best to check the official Payoneer site for your country.

Minimum Payment Threshold

To keep our payment process efficient, there is a minimum payment threshold. Payments are processed once your accumulated earnings reach the equivalent of at least 20 conducted slots. If your earnings for a cycle are below this threshold, they simply and safely roll over to the next month's payment. Your payment will be sent in the first cycle where your total accumulated earnings meet or exceed the 20-slot threshold.
